Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to its highest setting, usually between 475°F and 500°F (245°C to 260°C).
- Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
- Gently stretch the dough into a 12 inch circle and place it on parchment paper or a floured pizza peel.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving about an inch for the crust.
- Scatter torn mozzarella pieces evenly across the sauce.
- Lay thin slices of spicy salami on top, overlapping slightly.
- Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the cheese and meat.
- Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 8 to 12 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for two minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil or hot honey.
Notes
Use room temperature dough for easier stretching. A thick sauce prevents a soggy crust. Avoid overloading toppings.
