Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) Flatbread Dough
  • 6-8 oz Cold-Smoked Salmo
  • 1/2 cup Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4 small Red Onio
  • 2 tbsp Capers
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Dill (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (218 degrees Celsius).
  2. Prepare your workspace with a light dusting of flour and roll out your dough into a thin rectangle or oval shape.
  3. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and prick it several times with a fork.
  4. Place the dough in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
  5. Mix the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and half of the fresh dill in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Once the crust finishes baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about five minutes.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the warm crust.
  8. Layer the smoked salmon pieces across the surface.
  9. Scatter the sliced red onions, capers, and the remaining dill over the fish.
  10. Sprinkle the lemon zest and a crack of black pepper over the entire flatbread.
  11. Slice it into squares or triangles and serve immediately.

Notes

Let the crust cool for at least five minutes before adding toppings to prevent sogginess. Use fresh dill for the best flavor.
