Ingredients

  • 1 lb (16 oz) Pizza Dough
  • 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni Slices
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Hot Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Cornmeal

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or large baking sheet inside.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to a 12-inch circle.
  3. Transfer the dough onto parchment paper or a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving an inch around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Layer the pepperoni slices across the cheese.
  7. Bake the pizza for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. While the pizza bakes, whisk together the honey and hot sauce in a small bowl.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle the honey-hot sauce mixture over the top.
  10. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Let the dough come to room temperature before stretching. Drizzle the honey and hot sauce after baking to preserve flavors.
