Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 450°F. Let pizza dough rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Toss asparagus with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill for 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly charred. Cut into 2-inch pieces.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness. Brush one side with olive oil.
- Place dough oil-side down on the grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom shows grill marks.
- Flip the crust carefully and brush the grilled side with remaining olive oil mixed with minced garlic.
- Add mozzarella cheese evenly, then distribute grilled asparagus pieces. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and lemon zest.
- Close the grill lid and cook for another 3-5 minutes until cheese melts and bottom crisps up.
- Remove from grill, let rest for 2 minutes before slicing. Add red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Always oil your grill grates well to prevent sticking. Keep all toppings nearby before grilling. Par-baking the crust prevents soggy pizza.
